These Terms & Conditions govern your use of PromptGuard, operated by Route19 (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa. By installing or using PromptGuard, you agree to these terms.
PromptGuard is a Google Chrome browser extension providing real-time Data Loss Prevention. It detects sensitive data patterns in text you type into supported websites and AI tools, and — depending on your subscription — warns, advises, or blocks transmission. All detection occurs locally within your browser.
PromptGuard is available under four tiers: Detect (free), Protect, Protect+, and Enforce. Features at each tier are described at promptguard.route19.io/#pricing.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By purchasing, you agree to Paddle’s terms in addition to these. Route19 receives only your email address and subscription status from Paddle.
Upon payment you receive a license key that activates your tier within the extension. You are responsible for keeping it secure. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled via your Paddle customer portal.
You must not use PromptGuard to facilitate illegal activity, reverse engineer the extension beyond what law permits, circumvent its licensing features, resell your license key without written permission, or violate the terms of service of any platform the extension operates on.
PromptGuard, all detection logic, UI designs, and related materials are the intellectual property of Route19 (Pty) Ltd. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for your own personal or business purposes.
PromptGuard processes all prompt content and detection results entirely within your browser. Route19 does not receive or store the content of your prompts. See our Privacy Policy for details.
PromptGuard is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Route19 does not warrant that the extension will detect all sensitive data in all circumstances, be uninterrupted or error-free, or be compatible with all websites. DLP tools should form one layer of a broader security strategy, not the sole means of protection.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Route19 shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of PromptGuard. Route19’s total aggregate liability shall not exceed amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
